Interestingly enough, the aforesaid design of The Clock is the creation of Hans Hilfiker, which turned as an icon not only for the Swiss railway but also for Switzerland itself and the trademark and copyright for the clock is owned by the Swiss Federal Railway service.

SBB are the sole owner of the trademarks and copyrights of the station clock, said Ginsig. The railway company will now seek to Apple. The aim would a legal and financial solution. It was not that you just make a copy of this design.

Apple Switzerland refused to comment on the matter and asked the paper to connect to Apple’s corporate headquarters in the United States.

The clock’s image is extensively licensed with the watchmaker Modaine.
