Apple to Deliver Late iPhone 5 Pre-orders Early
Macrumors reports that Apple is going to deliver late iPhone 5 pre-orders early this month contrary to the reports predicting slow delivery rates.
We’ve received a number of tips that iPhone 5 pre-orders that were originally estimated to be delivered in early October are being shipped now with a delivery date of September 27th.
Notably, Apple initially “sold out” the initial batch of iPhone 5 within the first hour of sales and made a new record of over 2 million iPhone 5 pre-orders within the first 24 hours of its availability.
Apple online store still shows the iPhone 5 delivery estimates at 3-4 weeks.
The delivery of iPhone 5 through retail stores is quite smooth and flawless gathering a lot of applause from tech analysts.
“We are positively surprised regarding the pace of the rollout, since we had expected a bigger impact from component constraints,” Barclays analyst Ben Reitzes said.
Apple will probably announce iPhone 5 sales numbers on Monday. According to analysts’ prediction Apple may sell out 8 million iPhone 5 units in the opening weekend as compared to 4 million units of iPhone 4S which were sold out last year for the same time span.
