Apple Files Patent for Movement Based Anti Theft Detector in iOS Devices

Apple’s iOS devices are cool and in-fashion gadgets which are quite expansive too. Users of iOS devices always feel fear of the theft of their costly gadgets. Apple is well aware of this mess and wants to make its fans free from the fear of theft of their precious iPhone, iPad or iPod touch devices. So Apple has just filed a patent for movement based anti theft detector in its iOS products that will enable users to feel free. Apple plans to incorporate accelerometer inside iOS devices to detect a theft, and then sound an alarm.

However, Apple’s new anti theft detector will not push annoying car alarm-like bogus alerts, istead, Apple is going to add a special controller to iOS devices which will disregard normal bumps and drops, and will alarm only in case of a snatch-and-grab situation.

The device with new movement based anti theft detector will be tailored to its individual user, and the alarm’s sensitivity will be set for allowing your roommate to adroitly open your iPad, but not permit a thief from snatching it from your possession.

Just like any standard alarm system, Apple’s suggested system will also be equipped with password option to disable the alarm, as reported by AppleInsider.

Since present iPhones, iPads and iPods don’t have the signal processor and filters required to convert your accelerometer into an efficient supervisor, the patent is supposed to be meant for only future iOS products.

As a conclusion, Apple’s suggested new anti-theft system for iOS devices seems quite useful which will enable users to feel free from the fear that someone might steal or snatch their iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.
