Apple to Introduce 9.7 inch iPad Refresh Next Week with Same Pricing and Storage

Though Apple’s media event to be held on October 23 is generally popular for the announcement of iPad mini but it is just reported  that Apple will allegedly introduce a 9.7 inch iPad refresh in the same event with same pricing and storage we experience on existing iPad model.

7.9 inch iPad Refresh

Launching roughly half a year after the current third-generation iPad, this new iPad is said to be a tweaked model and not a complete revamp. As iMore and iLounge previously reported, we expect this new iPad to gain the smaller Lightning connector from the iPhone 5, fifth-generation iPod touch, and seventh-generation iPod nano. Also likely in the mix for this tweaked iPad is global LTE support, just like in the iPhone 5, according to a recent report from The Guardian. Apple could also use this opportunity to upgrade other internals like the processor, screen, battery, etc. but we don’t yet have specifics on this.

The chart of the SKUs for the new models given below reveals the fact as  half are for the iPad mini and the other half are for the refreshed iPad.

Famous analyst Ming-Chi Kuo at KGI Securities has already predicted an improved iPad model in July and developers have also reported an unidentified iPad3,6 in their logs, in near past.

Apple was expected to update all its products as a part of its full revamping campaign and many rumors point out that the company is going to introduce many updated devices in its media event next week, on October 23.
