Apple iPad Mini Media Event Date Confirmed: October 23, Tuesday

Finally, Apple is going to introduce its first iPad Mini tablet through a media event on Tuesday, October 23; the smaller iPad version will have a 7.85 inch display to compete low cost smaller tablets available in the market by company’s rival firms specially Amazon Kindle Fire and Samsung Galaxy Tab 7. Notably, iPad Mini will show its elegance just 3 days prior to the release of Microsoft’s Surface tablet.
As AllThingsD reported in August, Apple will hold a special event this month at which it will showcase a new, smaller iPad. People familiar with Apple’s plans tell us that the company will unveil the so-called “iPad mini” on October 23 at an invitation-only event.
That’s a Tuesday, not a Wednesday, so this is a bit of a break with recent tradition. It also happens to be just three days prior to the street date for Microsoft’s new Surface tablet.

Though, currently we have no hints about the location of iPad Mini Media Event, but reports suggest Apple’s Town Hall auditorium at its corporate headquarters in Cupertino, California, as a most suitable candidate for this event.
