Apple Orders for Manufacturing of 10 Million iPad Minis in Fourth Quarter: WSJ
iPad Mini is the next big thing tablet lovers are keenly waiting for. A latest report from WSJ claims that the company has already placed orders for manufacturing of 10 million iPad Minis in the fourth quarter of this year. This is really big iPad Mini news for Apple fans and its rivals too.
Some component suppliers to Apple in Asia say they have received orders to make more than 10 million units of the smaller tablets in the fourth quarter. That is roughly double the order that were placed for Amazon’s Kindle Fire tablets in the same quarter, these suppliers say.
Apple would announce its brand new iPad Mini tablet likely on 17th of this month in a great media event for which the invitations are speculated to be sent out on October 10.
It seems that Apple is well confident that their new iPad Mini (7.85 inch) will also prove another big earning hand for it and will set the new sales records in tablet markets around the world. Notably, Amazon Kindle Fire (7-inch), Samsung Galaxy Note (5-inch) and Google’s Nexus (7-inch) have already captured strong market position as low priced tablets and iPad Mini would have to struggle hard for making its position against these fabulous tablets in coming months.
