Apple Removes Dedicated YouTube App in New iOS 6 Beta 4 Just Released for Developers
Apple just released new iOS 6 Beta 4 for its developers, and within a few hours, Apple fans noted that Apple has removed dedicated YouTube app that was included in the iPhone operating system since its launch in 2007.
Still no reasons are known behind the removal handy YouTube app from Apple’s iOS, however, it seems that it is the result of the cold war between Apple and Google continued for last few months. Previously, Apple has kicked off Google Maps from its iOS 6 by introducing its own 3D mapping Solution.
Though the users can still play YouTube videos through the embedded viewer, but the removal of the dedicated YouTube app significantly reduces the standing of Google on iOS.
The Verge confirms that Apple has issued a statement admitting the removal of YouTube App from iOS 6.
Our license to include the YouTube app in iOS has ended, customers can use YouTube in the Safari browser and Google is working on a new YouTube app to be on the App Store.
