Download New Redsn0w 0.9.14b1 to Downgrade iPhone 3G / 3GS Baseband (06.15.00 to 05.13.04)!

We already knew that iPhone-Dev Team is today going to announce the much anticipated iPhone 3G / 3GS Baseband dowgrade feature. Now, the new Redns0w 0.9.14b1 version is available for download with a Baseband downgrade option for those running the standard iPad’s 06.15.00 Baseband on iPhone 3 / 3GS.

For those who don’t know, the baseband 06.15.00 was previously available for iPhone 3 /3GS as the only Ultrasn0w compatible baseband. But due to some problems like non-GPS functionality and inability to use stock IPSWs, the new Redsn0w 0.9.14b1 gives you the option to downgrade iPhone 3G / 3GS Baseband from 6.15.00 to 05.13.04 which is the most stable iOS Baseband currently present.

Tutorial to Downgrade iPhone 3 / 3GS Baseband (06.15.00 to 05.13.04) with Redsn0w 0.9.14b1:

Step-1:

Firstly download the current iOS .IPSW firmware file for your device from here. Also grab the latest version of Redsn0w through following links:

• Redsn0w 0.9.14b1 for Windows
• Redsn0w 0.9.14b1 for Mac

Step-2:

Now open the already downloaded Redsn0w jailbreak tool and click on the “Extras” button.

Step-3:

Now chose the “Select IPSW” option and browse for the .IPSW firmware file which you downloaded in Step-1.

After successfully verifying the firmware file, Redsn0w will now ask you wether you have a newer or older iPhone 3GS model. Proceed according to the given onscreen instructions.

Step-4:

Now go back and click on the “Jailbreak” button to initialize the jailbreaking process.

Step-5: 

Now Redsn0w will present you a number of options to chose from. Select the”Downgrade from iPad Baseband” option and untick “Install Cydia” if you’ve already installed it.

Step-6:

Before proceeding any further, make sure your device is turned off and connect it with your PC/Mac. Now follow the onscreen instructions to put your device in the DFU mode:

Step-7:

After a few minutes, Redsn0w will inform you that the rest of process will now take place on your device. Now your iPhone will boot with the famous Pwnage logo on the screen and a note saying Flashing Baseband. Don’t make panic at this moment and relx as this process will take a very long time to complete.

When the process is done, your device will reboot again and start as usual, but now you are on the 05.13.04 Baseband. Now use the latest version of Ultrasn0w from Cydia to unlock your device.
