We all know that Apple has introduces iOS 6 with more than 200 new features and improvements. But at current, iOS 6 Beta is available for download for developers only. Now, another update of the famous jailbreaking tool a.k.a Redsn0w 0.9.13dev1 has been released to jailbreak iOS 6 beta running on A4-Based iDevices.
Before going any further, please note that iOS 6 beta jailbreak via Redsn0w 0.9.13dev1 would be a tethered one. Also note that Hacktivation is not supported so you’ll be definitely needing an official carrier for your iOS device. And as this is a developer version of Redsn0w, Cydia would not be installed after the jailbreak.
Redsn0w 0.9.13dev1 Tutorial to Jailbreak iOS 6 Beta:
Step-1:
Firstly download and install latest version of iTunes on your PC/Mac. Before proceeding any further, make sure to make a backup of your iOS device through iTunes.
Step-2:
Now download the latest iOS 6 beta and also update your iDevice to the said firmware.
Step-3:
Grab the latest version of Redsn0w through following links;
Step-4:
Now open the already downloaded Redsn0w jailbreak tool and click on the “Extras” button. Then go for the “Select IPSW” option and browse for the iOS 6 beta firmware which you downloaded in Step-2.
Step-5:
Select the “Jailbreak” button to initialize the jailbreak process. Then follow the onscreen instructions to put your device into DFU mode.
Step-6:
Hurrah! You’ve successfully jailbroken your device running the latest iOS 6 Beta firmware.
As the iOS 6 beta jailbreak via Redsn0w is a tethered one, you need to put your device into a tethered jailbroken state every time you reboot your device. Accomplish this task by clicking the “Extras” button from RedSn0w and then choosing the ”Just Boot” option from the menu.
