Best Use of Facebook Timeline: School Uses Facebook Timeline for History Lessons

History is generally known as boring, tough and dreary subject for the students but it is up to teachers how they taught it to their pupils. While Facebook is supposed to be a dangerous time wasting social site for students, a school has discovered a highly appreciative and creative approach to studying major historical events through Facebook Timeline feature…the best use of Facebook Timeline feature so far.
It is Amsterdam-based school, 4e Gymnasium that has decided to make advantage of the popularity of Facebook and its user-friendly Timeline feature to motivate its students for a curriculum. The page permits students to craft posts, link various media and produce conversation with fellow classmates.
At present, the history class of the school is focusing on four subjects: Magellan’s voyages, 20th century inventions, Fashion history from 1950-present and the rise and fall of the Soviet Union.
Focusing on the subjects through chronology of events just enables the students to have a better understanding of cultural and social themes, trends and milestone achievements.
The class also invites all other internet users to visit their Facebook pages and make their contribution by adding something substantial to the timelines.
