Which Feature of iOS 6 Works on Which iOS Device? iOS 6 Features Chart
Apple’s new iOS 6 is a wonderful operating system for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch since it is full of striking features like 3D Maps, Improved Siri and Facebook Integration. According to Apple’s claim, their new iOS 6 is compatible with all iOS devices including iPhone 3GS. Notably, iPhone 3GS was released in June 2009.
But when we have a look on to Apple’s iOS 6 info page, a disclaimer smiles there at the bottom of the page:
“Not all features are available on all devices.”
This is followed by 8 supplements discloses the entire details about which feature of new iOS 6 works on which devices.
A few iOS 6 features as VIP List for email, the Offline Reading List, and Shared Photo Stream aren’t compatible with iPhone 3GS. Amazingly enough, some most significant features of iOS 6 like Siri and FaceTime over cellular don’t work even on recent devices including iPhone 4 or the iPad 2; Apple didn’t mention whether these features will work on the iPhone 3GS or not.
Contrary to the owners of new iOS devices, features of iOS 6 firmware offered to iPhone 3GS are limited, however, they would be able to enjoy redesigned App and Music Stores, Cloud Tabs in Safari, Facebook integration, and other improvements.
