Galaxy S II Amazingly Beats iPhone 4S for “Phone of The Year Award”!

Pocket-Lint -a popular weblog on consumer electronics – just announced the winners of their Annual Gadget Awards. Amazingly, this time at 8th Annual Gadgets Awards, Samsung Galaxy S II stood first by beating all other rivals including Apple iPhone 4S,Nokia Lumia 800, Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray and HTC Sensation, in smartphone category.
The award is announced after a long but highly honored process of selection; first five devices are shortlisted out of which the best one is decided through voting of a panel of judges comprised of world top class personalities including members of British newspapers, leading websites and television channels. Also, the opinion from 100 journalists, and the readers of technology based websites is also plays a vital role for selecting the best device of the year.
Pocket-Lint, as usual, described no specific reason behind the selection of Samsung Galaxy S II for the Phone of the Year Award, just preferring the Galaxy S II over other nominees.
No doubt, Galaxy S II comes with some highly admired features including an incredible large display, a powerful camera and a very chic design, but iPhone 4S isn’t inferior to GS II in any way, iPhone 4S’s display is smaller but quite sharper, its camera is the most powerful and killer shooter on phones, and its design is also gorgeously fabulous. Moreover, iPhone 4S’ Siri is the most loved feature worldwide due to its sharpness and efficient voice recognition. Finally, iPhone 4S is equipped with a faster A5 chip that makes it an ultimate choice of smartphone lovers.
We don’t advocate any company, either Apple or Samsung, but in our opinion, Pocket Lint’s Phone of the Year Award for Samsung Galaxy S II is the result of an unfair decision by the panel of judges.
