GOAB for iPad Adds Extra Informative Layers for What You Watch on TV!

Don’t Just Watch TV now! Watching shows, music videos, games and movies on TV screen without any further details and information about what you watch is becoming a boring job day by day. For enriching your viewing experience a German company is trying its best to create a cloud based app “GOAB” for iPad that would have the capability to sync with on-demand TV. GOAB app for iPad would entirely change the way of watching TV, indeed.

GOAB for iPad- NEW TV Experience

NewScientist reports that GOAB app for iPad is a prototype app so far which offers an extra informative layer to know more about the TV footage you watch on the screen. It means that GOAB for iPad app helps you to know more about a Music Album, Award Show, Drama, Movie or Sport before watching it on your TV screen. For example, it provides deeper stats of a rugby match or it provides the information and rating about the movie you just selected to watch.

GOAB app for iPad offers a very unique user interface with a magazine-like touch for navigating programs and you can browse programming with swipes just like from one article to the next one.

Here is a video demo of the GOAB App for iPad for your pleasure to know how it works;

Would GOAB for iPad is the FUTURE OF TV? Yet there are some hidden issues to be solved as NewScientist points out;

If you fancy what an actor is wearing, you can buy what you see with a quick tap and swipe. This begs the question: is this app a new way to experience what you watch on your TV, or is it really just a scary-smart marketing tool? Could be both.

But will staying within the confines of an app satisfy the intellectual curiosity for information that spurred this innovation? The free form nature of information on the internet is what’s drawn us to bring the laptop along while watching TV.

What worries me is that, even with this app in hand, I’ll still need another screen just for surfing.
