The new Google Maps now has multiple improved features and enhancement those were not included in built-in Maps app on iOS 5 and earlier versions. The most significant feature of new Onavo is its turn-by-turn directions. Actually this was the bone of contention between Google and Apple; Apple believed that absence of turn-by-turn directions makes its iOS inferior to Android OS and Google was reluctant to include this feature to its Maps for iOS unless Apple guarantees for greater Google branding within the app and adopts integration with Google Latitude.
