Google Maps Ported to iOS 6: Ryan Patrich [Video]

Apple Maps App is the most criticized feature of latest iOS 6 which annoys majority of the users due to its malfunctioning and odd response. Though Apple has promised to fix this issue in their earliest time and Google has submitted its Google Maps application to Apple for approval, Ryan Petrich came forward with the announcement that he has successfully ported Google Maps (iOS 5 version) to latest iOS 6.

However, Ryan Patrich is still facing some sort of redistribution issues since thehack requires some older iOS binaries those are not redistributable in new OS. The hack also involves a jailbreak, so if Petrich succeeds in dodging the legalities of this port, we will soon be able to port Google Maps to iOS 6 through his publicly released jailbreak tool.

Still crashy and cannot be distributed to the public yet, but it mostly works :)

Ryan Patrich is the well-known iOS hacker and developer in jailbreak community. If he releases its hack of porting Google Maps to iOS 6 in near future, it would really help the users crying over new Maps app.

Apple today announced that over 100 million devices have been upgraded to new iOS 6, but the company delivered no comments over the malfunctioning of its Maps app.

Moreover, Chpwn has already jailbroken iOS 6 but he uttered no word about its public release.
