Google TV vs Apple TV [A Full View]

Today I just thought, “Why the same tech munchies are different in taste?” I went on surfing the net to find the specific answer for my own raised notion. Yea! It is the technical approach and certainly the vision that makes the same hitech items different in their perspectives, features and utilities.

Let us make a comparison of a hitech item like internet TV manufactured by two high ranked net gigantic companies; of course Apple and Google.

I just tried to dig up out the core disparity between Apple TV and Google TV and was extremely surprised on observing that it is really the gap of technical vision and approach that differentiates both Apple TV and Google TV.

Google TV is one of the best hitech items in the market exclusively produced by Google. The technical approach and vision that works behind Google TV is the idea to make it a Computer cum TV piece. Google tried its best to offer all necessary accessories, utilities and features those are required for a computer, in its Google TV. So Google TV has the features of Multiple Support for Audio and Video Streaming, Windows, Web Browsing and Social Sharing Facility.

In a classic Video revealing all the features of Google TV clearly expresses my point of view in a visual display too. The video displays that Google TV allows the users to share their selected screen shot by just signing into Twitter and Facebook. As you login the said social sites, the video goes to the foot corner. So the user becomes capable to use Google TV like a computer whereas the video keeps on running in PIP Window that means Picture –to-Picture Window. So we conclude that Google intentionally tried to make Google TV a Computer that has TV in it.

Now we try to explore the vision and approach that governs Apple TV. As contrast to Google TV, Apple wants to make its TV a real TV with some computer features in it. Their whole effort is to put a high quality Video experience in Apple TV without doing something else. All other activities like Web Browsing and Social Sharing have a secondary importance in Apple TV experience. The first priority is just to display “TV Screen” alone; the other jobs may be done through a laptop in your lap or an iOS based smart handy phone in your hands.

Google TV offers to play videos along with Computer features where as Apple TV displays purely TV features and allows you to do other bustles on another screen either of a laptop or of a smart iOS device. Here rests the difference between Google TV and Apple TV.

The higher sale rate of iPad as compared to Pc`s delivers that Apple TV has supremacy in this particular arena. Most of us don`t like to have a computer laying 12 ft away from us. It irritates you considerably without taking in account the size of screen. You can do this experience yourselves to accomplish the result that I have concluded here.

Google TV has its own supreme features which are absent in the Apple TV just as Air Play type technology known as DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance” with other functions available on computers only.
