Honda UNI CUB PERSONAL MOBALITY DEVICE: A Modern Self Balancing Scooter

Honda- globally recognized tech giant in auto industry best known for its cars and motorcycles is now paying its attention in building up next gen robots and previously has introduced some amazing robotic stuff introduced just like Asimo robot and Honda Jet. Now the Japanese auto company exclusively unveiled another kind of robotic machine that is a latest personal mobility device named as ‘UNI-CUB-Personal Mobility Tool’ that is just like a bar stool on wheels which can gain a speed of 6 km/hr and is driven by the drivers own movements of his lower body parts just like an office chair.

Honda has incorporated the modern technology in its UNI CUB Personal Mobility Self balancing Motorbyke borrowed from Asimo that is actually world’s first Omni wheel system ( Honda Omni Tracktion Drive System) that allows the rider of the vehicle to control speed, move in any direction, yurn and stop by just shifting his or her weight. Moreover, if weight direction control seems difficult for a particular rider of the UNI CUB, the vehicle can be controlled through a touch panel control via a smartphone or other devices.

As a result, the Honda UNI-CUB is well suited for most pedestrian environments, helped by the fact that height of a device puts the rider at eye level with those who travelling on foot.

The Honda UNI-CUB is limited to surfaces with five degrees or lower of gradient, but its 3.7-mile range means we could conceivably use it for an entire workday. The UNI-CUB’s merits as a daily mobility device will be tested during a 10-month evaluation with national Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation. Unfortunately, up to today, the Japanese company has no official plans to put the product into production, but the UNI-CUB could just be a pointer at the future of personal mobility.

In short, Honda UNI CUB is a modern one-wheeled self balancing scooter that allows the rider to just sit down and remain on the device as it balances itself while travelling.
