Illusionist David Blaine Electrified with One Million Volts Created by Tesla Coils [Video]

Illusionist David Blaine stunned a massive crowd in New York City when he electrified himself with one million volts of electricity created by Tesla coils. He is on his way for spending three days and nights standing in the middle of a million volts of electric currents flowing around him. The magician David Blaine is performing his mind blowing new stunt “Electrified” to prove that he can do the stunts beyond our thoughts.

The magician was elevated to a platform above a high-voltage Tesla coil, dressed in a chain-mail suit weighing over a stone, and proceeded to shoot arcs of lightning out of his hands in unison with music.

Blaine will stand on the 20-foot-high platform for 73 hours without food amid an artificial lightning storm crackling between low-current, million-volt Tesla coils.

Notably, earlier in this week, David Blaine told the world about how he got the idea of putting himself at the centre of a giant plasma globe through a press conference. He told that to be electrified by one million volts he would require an airless vacuum in which he would stand in the middle and will glow himself with a stream of giant currents carrying one million volts.

No doubt, it was a stunning performance for the viewers on spot that has blown the minds of the folks but many of them still have doubts and belief that bearing the currents of one million volts is quite impossible for a human body;

I don’t know if he’s really feeling something or if it’s like those volts that you can touch and nothing happenings.

He just wants to sort of make people still believe that something can be really cool and it’s free and it’s just a spectacle, it’s really beautiful.

Blaine’s personal doctor Stuart Weiss told the world that Blaine faced the major risks of being exposed to ozone and nitrous oxides produced as a by-product when the currents of one million volts ionize the air, and are quite hazardous for human health.

Blaine is using a special kind of ventilation system to breathe and his helmet is equipped with a particular visor for protecting his eyes from the ultraviolet radiation produced from the bulk of electricity during the ‘Electrified’ illusion.

Additionally, as Tesla coils are much noisy, he will wear noise-dumping earphones letting him to hear and talk with the viewers of his latest stunt ‘Electrified’. For drinking purpose, he is using a water tube and will urinate through a catheter. He will not eat anything during ‘Electrified’ to eliminate the risk of natural calls for defecate.
