iPad mini Confirmed as Official Name by Apple Through Smart Cover Part Descriptions

When Apple announced its plans to launch a smaller version of iPad tablet, all techies began to call it ‘iPad mini’. Since then we all are covering the news of a smaller 7.85 inch iPad by the name of iPad mini. According to a recent report of 9to5Mac, iPad mini has been confirmed as the official name of the device through Apple’s Smart Cover part descriptions; notably Apple is also launching a new set of Smart Covers for iPad mini in today’s media event.
We appreciate here a Japanese blog Macotakara that has already claimed, back in August, that Apple would release its smaller iPad tablet by the official name of iPad mini. We have also heard the rumors of ‘iPad Air’ as the official name of smaller iPad model through Apple analyst John Gruber.
Notably, the new Smart Covers for iPad mini will come in various attractive colors including red, dark gray, light gray, pink, green, and blue.
