Jailbreak PlayStation 3 (PS-3) with Android Phone – Nexus One / HTC Desire (Using PSFreedom)

Finally Folks at XDA developers has succeeded to do hacking of PlayStation 3 with Android Phones by Google. This hacking (Jailbreaking ,most  proper word) allows the users to make backups of their PlayStation 3 games. However, Google is the key of the whole process.

Here is a bit-by-bit Jailbreaking Procedure for PS-3 using Android Phone (Rooted). You can follow this on your own risk, as we (www.hitechanalogy.com) are not responsible if yours PlayingStation 3 or Android Phone gets damage during this process. If you are still eager to do that, then follow the bits given bellow;

Bit-1: Check that your phone is compatible with PSFreedom.

Bit-2:  Download the Parcel & extract it by unzipping software such as WinRAR or 7zip.

Bit-3:  Now copy the extracted file “N1-CM6-PSFreedom.tar.gz” to your Android Phone`s microSD Card.

Bit-4: Also copy the files “PS3-signed.zip” and “PS3-no-more-signed.zip” to the microSD Card and then Reboot the Android Phone into recovery console.

Bit-5: After you have done it, flash “PS3-signed.zip” on your iPhone and then Reboot it again.

Bit-6: Use ConnectBot or any other Terminal App to type as following;

cd/mnt/sdcard
su
insmod psfreedom.k

Bit-7: Switch off your PlayStation-3 (PS-3);

ü  If you have PS3 Fat Model, switch off from back

ü  If you have PS3 Slim Model, unplug console from wall.

Bit-8:  Connect your Android Phone via USB.

Bit-9: Switch on your PlayingStation 3 (PS3) and press thePower Button tracked by eject button in a nippy run.

Hurrah! You have completed the process successfully and your PlayingStation 3 has been jailbreaked with Android Phone. For its confirmation, you can read “Install Package Files” under Game on the Cross Media Bar (PS3’s UI). Your phone can be returned to its prior non-flashed state by booting it back to recovery mode & flashing “PS3-no-more-signed.zip”. It should be also kept in mind that this hack has some bugs, Wi-Fi and USB Mass Storage may be  disabled on your phone until original boot image is flashed back.
