First Leaked Photo of iPad 3’s Retina Display Panel?
The top photo represents the iPad 2′s display and the bottom photo the purported iPad 3 display. MacRumors notes that the claimed iPad 3 photo shows 3 wide ribbon cables that might be used for data. The iPad 3 is expected to carry a high resolution screen of 2048×1536 which is four times the number of pixels of the current iPad 2, so the need for additional data bandwidth would be understandable.
As discussed earlier, Apple is expected to reveal its next tablet retina display iPad 3 in early 2012. Retina display iPad 3 means that iPad 3 would carry high resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels that is 4 times more than the screen resolution of current iPad 2.
To incorporate this high resolution screen panel on iPad 3, Apple is said to use IGZO display technology which would also enhance the battery life of the iPad 3, almost double, as reported by many tech sites.
