Mark Zuckerberg Finds Apple and Amazon “Alighned” with Facebook: Google Trying to Build “Another Facebook” [Interview]

Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg was a competitor of RIP Steve Jobs since both Apple and Facebook were engaged in the long run to win the tech race of acceptance and popularity, though one was the innovator of Apple products and the other is the creator of world’s best social network.  In a recent interview, Mark Zuckerberg talks about his questions that he had for Steve Jobs and expressed that Facebook and Apple are ‘extremely aligned’ as companies. He expressed his views about Steve Jobs dynamic personality in an interview with Charlie Rose.

On Steve Jobs:
Mark Zuckerberg: Oh, I don’t know. I mean, he – he’s amazing. He was amazing. I mean, he – I had a lot of questions for him on –

Charlie Rose: Like what?

Mark Zuckerberg: How to build a team around you, right, that’s focused on building as high quality and good things as you are. How to keep an organization focused, right, when I think the tendency for larger companies is to try to fray and go into all these different areas. Yeah, I mean a lot just on the aesthetics and kind of mission orientation of companies. I mean, Apple is a company that is so focused on just building products that – for their customers and their users. And – and that’s like – it’s such a deep part of their mission is build these beautiful products for their users. And I think we connected a lot on this level of, okay, Facebook has this mission that’s really more than just trying to build a company, right, that has a market cap or a value. It’s like we’re trying to do this thing in the world. And I don’t know, a lot of it I just think we connected on that level.

Charlie Rose: Did he ever suggest that Apple might buy Facebook?

Mark Zuckerberg: No. I don’t think it ever really got there. I mean, nor would I have wanted to sell it.

Mark Zuckerberg also pushed out his views on Google, Apple, Amazon, in comparison to Facebook. According to him, Google is an ultimate rival of Facebook as they are trying their best to build a little version of Facebook….a mock-up. And as for Apple and Amazon, Zuckerberg finds both companies as “aligned” partners of Facebook and believes that his company can do much more for internet junkies in collaboration with Apple and Amazon in future.
