Mass Production of 7.85 inch iPad Mini will Start in Q3 2012!
DigiTimes, the pioneers of revealing news about a smaller 7.85 inch iPad model, now reports that Apple partners for iPad manufacturing have started sending samples of mini iPad to Apple prior to begin the mass production of this new tablet scheduled in third quarter of this year, as told by their reliable sources.

Makers in Apple’s iPad supply chain have started delivering samples of 7.85-inch iPads for verification, with volume production likely to begin in the third quarter of 2012 at the earliest, according to industry sources.
The report further claims that Apple will likely set the pricing of mini iPad between the range of $249-$299 to compete Amazon’s Kindle Fire in tablet market, while an expected 8 GB iPad 2 will come with the price tag in between $349-$399.
The report also makes it clear that Apple wouldn’t discontinue the supply of 16 GB iPad 2 at $449 to fill the gap for low-end consumer below the flagship of new iPad 3 lineup, going to be announced on March 7.
We have already covered couple of stories about a 7.85 inch iPad Mini and its comparison with current 9.7 inch iPad 2.
New iPad Mini will have the same screen resolution of 1024×768 as we experience on iPad 2 but with a smaller physique, Apple would have to make some user interface elements smaller in size, accordingly.
