Planetbeing just announced that he has updated the iPhone 5 untethered jailbreak ‘failbreak’ with a kernel exploit; however, it requires dev account to work.
Upgraded the #failbreak with a kernel exploit so tweaks actually work on iPhone 5.
Almost a full tethered JB, though need dev account.
Notably, chpwn revealed an iPhone 5 untethered jailbreak on iOS 6 last month that was called ‘Failbreak’ for the reason that it would be only for iPhone developers for research purpose and wouldn’t be available to general public ever.
Planetbeing clarifies why a failbreak is necessary.
These exploits are valuable for discovering new ones in the future, so it’s nice to keep them and release only the good ones.
