pod2g’s First Untethered Jailbreak Works on iOS 5.0.1- iPhone 4S/iPad 2?

We know, after watching the pod2g’s video demo on first iOS 5 untethered jailbreak, you have a very logical question in your mind” Would pod2g’s untethered iOS jailbreak work on iOS 5.0.1 firmware on iPhone 4S and iPad 2?” Here’s the answer just tweeted by pod2g……just after a short break.

pod2g, a famous iPhone hacker and developer, just answered the most asked questions on his twitter page related to his upcoming first iOS 5 untethered jailbreak earlier demoed by him,

First: Would it work for iOS 5.0.1 firmware?

Second: Would it work for iPhone 4S and iPad 2 also?

Unfortunately, at present, the answer to both these questions is a “Big No”, as we watched in pod2g’s video that it was an iPod touch untethred jailbreaked on iOS 5.0.

However, there is still a good aspect of the answers, as pod2g’s promises to do its best to make it equally workable for iOS 5.0.1 firmware.

The hacker also disclosed that he doesn’t have an iPhone 4S or iPad 2………folks can gift him to encourage him to start his efforts on the both devices.

But, I don’t own a 4S nor I an iPad 2.

It means that pod2g will work on iPad 2 and iPhone 4S after “others” are set ready for getting an untethered jailbreak, including 3G/4G, iPhone 3GS/4 and original iPad on iOS 5.0 and iOS 5.0.1 as well.

So guys1 you would have to wait more for pod2g’s first untethered jailbreak on iOS 5/5.0.1, till that you can jailbreak your devices tethered on iOS 5 with Redsn0w or Sn0wbreeze.

After jailbreaking your devices tethered on iOS 5 ,you can use a few semi-tethered jailbreak tools allowing you to reboot your device with limited functionality until you are connected to a Mac or PC. Folks running iOS 5.0.1 can also use use Redsn0w, Sn0wbreeze, or Ac1dSn0w for semi-tethered jailbreak, accordingly.
