Mass production of Apple’s next tablet-iPad 3 has begun at the plants of Apple’s manufacturing partners in Asia (Foxconn & Pegatron). The new tablet iPad 3 would feature high resolution retina display, quad core A6 processor and would have the ability to connect with 4G LTE networks, as reported by Bloomberg.

The company’s manufacturing partners in Asia started ramping up production of the iPad 3 this month and plan to reach full volumes by February, said one of the people, who asked not to be named because the details aren’t public. The tablet will use a quad-core chip, an enhancement that lets users jump more quickly between applications, two of the people said.

The mentions of a quad core A6 processor to iOS devices were already revealed by many tech sites. Also, previously it was predicted that iPad 3 would be launched on Steve Jobs birth day.
