Samsung’s New TV Ad Mocks Apple Fans Waiting for iPhone 5 in Long Lines
Samsung doesn’t miss any opportunity to mock Apple and its fans due to its enmity it has for Apple over patent issues. Now the company airs a new TV ad which mocks Apple fans lining up to wait for new iPhone 5 outside the Apple retail stores. The new ad seems the extension of a series of company’s ads poking fun at Apple and its loyal customers. The ad has been released on the day when Apple launched its latest iOS 6 firmware just before the release of its new iPhone 5.
The latest TV ad by Samsung just shows Apple fans standing in long lines waiting for the new iPhone 5 outside the retail stores in various cities. The fans hold a conversation on new features of the device, as new headphone jack on the bottom and the “all-digital connector”, poking fun at the two new features of the iPhone 5.
A Samsung Galaxy S III user appears in the commercial keeping a spot in the line for his parents, depicting iPhone 5 is the choice of older generation.
Samsung new TV ad also targets the people who believe that iPhone 5 will be much better than iPhone 4S and say “This year, we’re finally getting everything we didn’t get last year” including a 4-inch screen and 4G LTE connectivity. But the company reminds that its Galaxy S III “has had for a while” and its screen is already bigger than new iPhone 5.
Moreover, Samsung’s ad also hits the lacks of iPhone 5 like NFC functionality by showing two S III users who share a playlist by just touching their phones, and add-ons like watching videos during emailing messages, sharing videos instantly while an Appler expects these features “maybe not this time but next time, right?”
