Sn0wbreeze 2.8 Beta 2 for iPhone 3GS Untethered Jailbreak on iOS 5 (Old Bootrom)
iH8sn0w has just released new Sn0wbreeze 2.8 Beta 2. This new version of Sn0wbreeze 2.8 can jailbreak untethered iPhone 3GS (Old Bootrom) running iOS 5 Beta 1. It should be noted here that Sn0wbreeze 2.8 Beta 2 can also jailbreak iPhone 4/3GS (New Bootroom), iPod touch 3G/4G & iPad 1G but they are limited to tethered boot, which means that you have to reboot your iDevice in a tethered jailbroken state after every reboot.
For those who don’t know, Redsn0w 0.9.8 is also released to jailbreak (tethered) iPhone, iPad & iPod touch. The only difference between these two jailbreak tools is this that Sn0wbreeze 2.8 will also preserve your old baseband so you can then unlock your device with Ultrasn0w. If your device doesn’t rely on a carrier unlock, we suggest you to use Redsn0w 0.9.8 for iOS 5 Jailbreak.
If you want to jailbreak your device with Sn0wbreeze 2.8, then first download Sn0wbreeze 2.8 Beta 2 from the link given below & then follow our complete Sn0wbreeze 2.8 tutorial for iOS 5 jailbreak . iPhone 3GS (Old Bootrom) users don’t need to follow steps of “Rebooting your Device in a Tethered Jailbroken State” as they’ve already got the untethered jailbreak.
