No to Playboy on iPad- Will Apple is going to convert its devices into a Playboy Nudity Center?

Playboy is an adult magazine which is notorious (or famous) for its nude stuff and pornographic material. Recently Playboy announced that Playboy is ready to ride on Apple’s iPad and most likely it will be available for iPad users up to the end of next March ’2011.So the serious minded parents and matured persons were badly shocked by this shocking news . They all conveyed their point of view and told Apple that it will be a great social evil if Apple decides to change its policy towards pornography and nudity.

It was The Associated Press who noted Hugh Hefner’s twitter status;

Big news! Playboy — both old & new — will be available on iPad beginning in March.

Then most of the tech sources come with their posts confirming that Playboy is going to appear on iPad with all its nude stuff in uncensored form. However, the Playboy’s publisher was pretty quiet about the Apple’s App Store support OR Apple’s policy towards Playboy mag.

The news about Playboy appearance on iOS devices, without applying censorship, became a topic of discussion for all those folks who have any Apple’s iOS device. Will Apple is going to convert its devices into a Playboy Nudity Center? It was the question which was asked by most of the people.

Before answering the question, I think it better to introduce the Apple’s policy towards pornography and nudity for the approval of any app to display on its App Store.

The code for App Store software, published by Apple in 2010 under the “Content” section store’s Guidelines reads;

Apps containing pornographic material, defined by Webster’s Dictionary as ‘explicit descriptions or displays of sexual organs or activities intended to stimulate erotic rather than aesthetic or emotional feelings,’ will be rejected.

Here we express over views on this particular matter regarding Playboy appearance on App Store. We are a hard opponent of this idea and you will find no flexibility in our instance in this concern. If Apple changes its minds, people are also free to change their devices. As Playboy on iOS devices means, “We are going to divorce the moral values of our society & are trying to divulge our children and teens toward a nude and porn culture in which they will grow like an animal without any regard towards sacred relations”.

But the point of satisfaction lies in the solid negative response by Steve Jobs, the Apple’s CEO. He says absolutely true;

You can download it; your kids can download it. That’s a place we don’t want to go, so we’re not going to.
